I’ve been working with Regina Hirsch to develop infographics for water re-use and conservation education.
A few years ago, I worked with Regina to create illustrations for two key concepts to be used in planning. The style of these drawings contrasts in a big way with the more recent 2 groups of infographics: one series for a water re-use education installation and one for users of an Augmented Reality Sandbox installation (above).
The style of all of the drawings reflect the end-use and audience. For the more recent graphics, simple and straightforward imagery was needed in order to communicate complex ideas to the layperson. The style is very flat and basic, nothing fancy.
These next drawings are meant to illustrate a concept and the suggestion of a finished product to a client. The style is more ‘artistic’ and feels more like a rendering than a set of instructions.
